Raum 0

Raum 0 (engl)

Rooms are living, are architecture, are boundaries, are photographically reproduced…

The series „Raum 0“ indicates two essential dimensions of meaning: one is aimed at the reified human being and focuses him paradigmatically as a staged, partly surreal exhibit in the museum space; in the other dimension of meaning the room is to be understood as a mental space, and here the staging mirrors a multitude of sensations as well as dream states - up to Yves G. Noir‘s self-critical examination of modes of his own loneliness. In the sense of a felt as well as a spatial isolation such a photographically fixed microcosm counteracts the possibility of togetherness which is otherwise fundamentally inherent to it. As a counter-possibility, space-work is to be transferred into dream-work - and, similarly, dream-work is to be seen as space-work.
