Reflet

Glas gibt üblicherweise den Blick auf etwas frei: als Fenster bzw. Schaufenster. Jenes Prinzip dreht Yves Noir ins Gegenteil, indem er der materialen Eigenschaft von Glas folgt: wie dieses in sich springt und bricht, so bricht und sprengt er den Blick. Die Scheibe verschleiert, verformt, irritiert und betont punktuell doch gleichermaßen. Aktphotographie vollkommen anders stilisiert und ästhetisiert!

Glass usually opens the view to something: as a pane or a shop window. Yves Noir turns this principle into its opposite by following the material quality of glass: in the same way that it breaks and cracks within itself, he breaks and shatters the view. The pane blurs, distorts, irritates, and yet equally accentuates particular points. This is nude photography stylised and aestheticized in a totally different way!
